Dramatic puff sleeves inspiration no pattern sewing projects

“Pronounced shoulders convey fortitude, control, and chutzpah. But for the fall 2020 season, romance was added into the mix, and this primarily came in the form of mutton sleeves. Also known as the gigot sleeve, the style delineates voluminous shoulders that taper down the arm. It is typified by queens of England, Disney princess, real-life princesses (à la Princess Diana’s wedding dress), Gibson Girls, society swans in the ’30s, and the oeuvre of Christian Lacroix. All this speaks to a bygone era, when glamour and fantasy were the crux of the fashion industry.”

Dramatic puff sleeve is FW-2020 fashion trend. This inspired me to design a puff sleeve dress which without pattern.

Without pattern sewing project, it is easier for beginners to get started. I bought 1.5m fabrics to develop this project and used them all. Ignore the inner dress part in video for your project, if you use solid color fabric. It’s not necessary for your project and easier for beginner.

By the way, free to choose your front side is core design for this dress. Deep V neckline side can be a evening dress.

Enjoy~
